Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to mention that Stella Maris has some registration forms for the tournament, and Im probably going to be back in Brooklyn on Monday and will stop by with more. Anyone needing multiple forms, send me a pm , and we can arrange to meet and get them to you. Recent happenings with the event ,
bay Park fishing station just donated an additional allotment of prizes for the event to be used in all places in each divison. Woodcleft fishing station is awaiting an order and will b donating more things as well. I have met with the charity and seen some of the things that were sent in, and as always they are all great! Thanks to everyone again, Harvey that was an awesome job on the custom teasers!

Hey Everyone,
We still have online registration as an option to join our event. The charity at some point will have to close it down to print out final rosters for the weigh stations to know who's in the tournament. Sign up soon to take advantage of this easy registration. There seems to be a good weather pattern taking place and the fluking is going strong in close proximity to all inlets near our weigh stations! Fishing begins at 630, after tourney festivities , complete with giveaways, raffles, silent Auctions begin at 5pm at McFaddens of Rockville Center. A special thanks once again to all our sponsors , who continue to donate their time and prizes to our event. MS is wide spread affecting many people in our own backyard, this is a good way to try to help those inflicted with it, Fish for a Cure! :tu:

Hey Everyone
In order to keep the registration period open longer, we will not be sending out boat numbers as we had thought earlier. The online registration period ends at 3pm tomorrow. For those of you who miss that deadline, you can register in person at Woodcleft fishing station and at Baypark fishing station. I would have like to have it set up in brooklyn too,, but I'm short the manpower I would need to do that . Please know that all the support that has been given to me here on Fishing United has meant very much to me. I thank you all, I hope that I havent annoyed you all to death! LOL! McFaddens is open to the public during our festivities, so if you are in the area stop by and say hello . For those who are participating Saturday, GOOD LUCK AND SAFE BOATING!

Hey Everyone,
I'm pleased to announced that our first tournament was a success! We had 80 registered entrants, & a couple of clubs in our club division. The weather could have been a bit better, but the event was a go from the start. We had a decent amount of weigh ins at Freeport , and many weigh ins a Bay Park. I spent some quality time at Stella Maris, and had just one fish make it to the scale there, seemed a lot of west end participants didn't have anything decent I guess. The after party at McFaddens had, around a third of the participants come by and many had some company with them too. We raffled off 8 or 9 different fishing packages and put some trips up for auction.
As for the results They will be made public by the charity soon, and they will be appearing in the Long Island Fisherman and online. I can say that the biggest fish in the club division was 8.9 lbs and the largest in adult division was 6.8lbs. There were approximately 25-30 keepers weighed in.
Once again, I personally thank all of the Fishing United family that helped us out and Donated to this Great Cause! The event was so well received , and the charity so pleased that they are already talking about doing more fishing tournaments and incorporating more species into them in the future!
As always Gang, Ill keep you posted!

That is one of the priorities here at FISHING UNITED.COM - if we can help in some way, we will.

Will do Steve, once I know that the results are public, I ll post the places and the top 2 clubs final standings. I wish we didnt have those east winds, I know we would have had more fisherman and fish weighed in. Either way it was the culmination of 18 months of work, and to c it succeed is very gratifying .
