good or bad

with the recent rash of bag limits and constant regulations on fishermen and party boat owners i find myself asking if this is good or bad.limits have brought striped bass back, fluke fishing has been good in recent years lots and lots of shorts close to the limit, outlook for great fluke fishing for years to come are promising.party boats like the viking and voyager in nj have been taking guys out on more exotic trips in search of new fisheries and have hammered out a new outlet of fishing for guys looking to avoid not fishing due to regulations and thats a good thing love tilfish trips and long range cod, pollack, hake trips and of recent atlantic halibut these are fish we would have never looked to fish for as often if not for bag limits and regs,i would love to see more boats doing so and the brooklyn is one of them i guess i'm trying to find the good in all this and wanted to know if the rest of you guys and gals feel the same.

I have seen quite few boats doing this but they have to have the accomdations to do those trips also.

It has opened a few more eyes, including mine. I have my own boat and 99% of my fishing is off private boats.

I have to say after all those years owning a boat getting on a long range boat is like a vacation..here's my money...lets go :D Throw a few more bucks and have the mates fillet your fish and usually some real good people on those trips.

I have a week left to go before I head down to Key West on the Yankee Capts, got a full boat of 20 good guys and the phones are starting to to ring instead of e-mails.

I have to admit it gives you something to look forward to, I'm getting bit antsy.

The Brooklyn Girl just did one to my suprise and did very well:
