JULY 26th - BIG THANKS TO MIKE 'TOGMASTER' - NEW COMPUTER

Postby EC NEWELLMAN » Mon Jul 26, 2010 6:03 am

I like to send a big THANKS to MIKE TOGMASTER who is just incredible computer guru. My old war horse which he custom built 8 years go, finally gave up the ghost with not even the BIOS page coming up, a truly dead machine. Finally set up a new cutting edge iCore 5 system with a mega 22 inch Viewsonic screen that definitely gives high definition a new meaning.

Mike has built numerous computer systems for I don't know how many fishermen over the years, and everyone cannot believe how good he sets these systems up.

Thanks Mike!

No truer words about Mike's abilty to CUSTOM build your compter. He has done a few for me proir to moving down here. He just did my sons new one and with XP coming to end soon ( for udates and patches) I am also just about ready for a new one.

Yep, he built it, programed it and had it shipped to Florida for me. He uses items that are the newest to the market and were a company like Dell buys complete lots of components that are OUTDATED packages them up and creates the 400 dollor tower.

Tha man is truely a WIZ.

Togmaster is the "go to" guy when it comes to PC issues. As a person i consider myself lucky to have him as a close friend, he plays a mean guitar too 8-)

Is XP still possible with 4 gigs of ram. A dual monitor output with 4 serial ports too.

Removeable hard drive?

My boat machine works awesome as I have never hooked it up to the net. Could we just tweak my boat machine?

Thanks

Morning Greg....I will ask him, and though I enjoyed using XP, I must say the Windows 7 is like going from the triple A right to the all star level in what it can do, and the way it operates. I am still marveling over this system he put together.

Windows 7 will not accept my GPS drivers. Plus my ASF Windplot is spot on with the conversions. No way I am losing that ability. I have not lost any of the 250,000 marks I have on Windplot that were used with Loran C. Last week southeast of Nantucket al my numbers were spot on.
