My buddy Tuffy down in Virginia Beach passed these photos along of Heather going out alone and landing her first striper. Not bad for a first striped bass.

Just curious.... Did anyone noticed that in the past few years the bass action has been later and later in the winter? Should we blame this on Al Gore / global warming?

Everything is quite a bit later. Last time I got out [ 1/11] 17 fathoms had a good amount of Bluefish, there were still some Bluefin in the area, and a good showing of bass.

Fetchdup: According to my logbooks, I agree... the past 4 years - the bite has been later (specially the Striped Bass fishing).

Wow, that is a big one. I thought the one i caught was a good one . Lake Murray SC during my trip to Camp Lejeune, NC for school 5 hours drive just to go fishing
