Sometimes all it takes is a single hook with spearing, squid, and a boat rod. Despite trying fancy bucktails, jigheads, teasers, Gulp, regular bait and light tackle, my longtime fishing buddy, Bobby O, and I couldn't even catch shorts. Meanwhile, once a year anglers with boat rods and single hooks are bringing up keeper after keeper. Go figure!
Congratulations to Teresa, who won the boat pool with a 7.25 lber, caught just past the RM bridge, with a boat rod. About ten keepers were caught on the afternoon trip. Bob Kramer got 2 nice ones.
