Jamaica Bay Kayak 11.2 Pound Fluke

Hit a new milestone on my kayak today. Breezed into the "double digit club" with this 11.2 oz Fluke. Fish was around 31.5" and took liking to my bucktail gulp combo in Jamaica Bay.



This is my first fish over ten pounds and taking it on my kayak makes it even more special...

conditions were clean water, 2nd hour into the outgoing tide Friday morning.

It was certainly a personal goal I was looking forward to achieving...

Had three other keepers including one around 5 lbs. My buddy also had a full limit to 7 pounds.

How many fishermen from this area continue to tell me that some of the biggest fluke around come out of Jamaica Bay.
