Capt Christopher Kadlec holds a 100 ton masters near coastal license and runs most of the trips aboard the Celtic Quest out of Port Jefferson. Chris grew up in Port Jefferson and has been fishing on the local North Shore waters both for work commercially and recreation his entire life. Chris has worked on the local party boats since the age of 14 and has been captaining boats since 2002 both locally and on a private 6-pack boat in Montauk. After getting married in 2003, Chris decided to use his expertise in fishing for Striped Bass, Fluke, Porgies, Sea Bass and Black Fish and work locally full-time on the Celtic Quest for his friend Captain Desmond O’Sullivan, who he has known for years.

From Herring fishing in Mt. Sinai, scup fishing on the Middle Grounds, offshore Cod fishing or fishing for Stripers off the beach in Montuak, Chris has had a passion for fishing his entire life.
