I have been lucky enough to have been around boats since the glorious day my parents informed me that my family would be moving from Queens NY to a canal front house in Freeport NY. Oh Happy Day! I am no master boat builder or master marine mechanic by any stretch, just a person who has learned a thing or two about boats along the way. No one person can possibly know everything about boats or fishing for that matter. So here is a place we can come to in order to bounce ideas around, ask questions and talk about boat maintenance, restoration, boat building, boat rigging, anchoring systems, electronics, engines, the whole enchilada - you name it. Lets face it, anything that has to do with boating is expensive, and if we can help each other out with making the right choices it is a beautiful thing. So everyone, don't be shy, put your 2 cents and ideas in, we can always learn something new - lets help each other out. Anyone who knows me is aware that I have a passion (or is it more of an obsession) for bottom/wreck fishing. So I do have a decided orientation in that direction.
