Well, the tautog season is in full swing and the bite is only going to get better in the next few days!
Needless to say there is a good amount of blackfish around when the weather cooperates. I fished with two friends (Dennis and Peter) and it didn't take long for these critters to chew....
We fished in 30' along the rocky bottom and the bait of choice was greenies. The tide just started to ease and we held nicely with 8oz. sinker. The fishing was absolutely stupid and we limited out in no time! Before noon, we headed back with plenty of time for dinner and to hit the surf at night. :)
All in all, it was a great day on the water! :)
