What a beautiful day out there yesterday. Flat calm all day and warm (relative to the past week! )
Started up the day on anchor and had a nice pick of fish until sun up. Pulled the anchor and had a few good drifts on bait and jigs. After that slowed we checked out a few more spots. All of them had life with a handful of cod on each and some ling, but no great shakes. One piece had 20 nice keeper cod on it.
Finished the day up on a wreck. Lots of life, put some more nice cod in the boat and many shorts that were released.
Brian Gillespie was high hook catching 25 cod, 8 keepers. Catch of the day was a beautiful 20 lb monkfish!
Weather looks nice for tomorrow and Sunday.
Sunday we will be sailing at a SPECIAL TIME 1AM!. The night bite has been the best so if you want to get out there a little earlier just give a call.
