Fallow up for the 7-11. Ended the trip with around 25 keepers and you could not even count the shorts.hundreds. We of course fished late because my clock is broken and on the last drift we put about 4 more on the deck including the pool fish caught by Avery. It was around 5lbs. Like Ed always says "fish hard because the next one could be the right one!" Larger fish came up on bucktail teaser rigs or a bait rig tipped with gulp shrimp.
12-4 was run by Captain James. He said the action was the same of the morning but unfortunately most of the keepers seemed to come up at the tail end of the trip as the tide started to ease. Pool fish was about 5lbs.
4:45 porgy trip was slammer fishing. Captain James put us on the meat! I went strictly as a fish cutter and was definitely needed. I cleaned about 7 bushel baskets of fish before we started home and 4 of us still cleaned fish all the way back to the dock. Pool winner was almost J.C. with a 3lb porgy but at about 7:30 Chad landed a 33 inch stripper caught on a porgy hook. He fought that fish like the pro he is! Lots of nice sea bass came up which were all thrown back unharmed. and now its time for me to go to bed!
